Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority House

For a national sorority management consortium, PBA executed a complex renovation of 18,000 SF within an early 1900’s sorority building housing 50 female students. The project involved full systemic modernization for plumbing and partial AC, full kitchen services, partial roof replacement, technology upgrades and new F, F & E for all public spaces including bathrooms, kitchens, and corridors. All private living quarters were painted.

The exterior brick was re-pointed and painted where needed. All new windows and doors replaced the old ones. A new roof fixed ponding issues. Accessibility was an issue and all bathrooms and bedrooms were updated to meet ADA codes. A new accessible entry was created as well.

The 3 story plus basement sorority house contains 7 bathrooms, 36 bedrooms, a dining room to hold 50, a living room, a TV room, a study room and a commercial kitchen. The entire house had new plumbing installed; new electrical was run into rooms that needed it and every room was updated with interior finishes.
