Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Center

The primary focus for this VAMC Center is inpatient and outpatient mental health services. The modernization and addition to Building 22H will provide both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation treatment for substance abuse to military veterans.

The design emphasizes patient-centered care that focuses on a positive, healing environment for patients, family and staff. Specifically, the treatment facility included a 24,000 sf renovation and 1,800 sf addition with 61 residential units, mental health professional offices, nurses station, pharmacy, lobby/waiting area, group therapy room, exam/treatment room, classrooms, nourishment areas, day rooms, family visitation space, laundry rooms, and support services.

The entire facility received new interior finishes and the exterior was repaired and included new windows/doors, and exterior insulation/finish system. ADA compliance was provided for both the interior and exterior, including site.
