The new buildings arecompatible with other campus structures while providing a warm, home-like atmosphere, yet provides group and individual youth program services. The materials are durable, vandal-resistant materials that also require minimal maintenance. The facility also is a “green” facility: energy efficient materials and systems, sustainable materials, recyclable materials, locally sourced materials, alternative energy sources (possible solar hot water system), non-VOC materials, construction waste management, water efficient systems, etc.
All program areas are ADA accessible and on one level. The facility can accommodate 10 clients (10 sleeping areas). Other areas for the boys include: a common group gathering and multi-purpose area, a small kitchen area with residential level appliances, dining area, 2 group toilet rooms, and a laundry room, staff offices, group study and counseling rooms.
