VAMC Wilmington, Delaware - In conjunction with Paul Finch & Associates, Penza Bailey Architects provided architectural services for the renovation of existing space for the special procedures laboratory use designed to meet OR standards. Existing space was partially gutted under a previous project and additional pipe asbestos insulation behind chases was revealed during the demolition. This project scope addressed all remaining demolition; asbestos abatement; new floor plan and related architectural work; window removal and replacement/modification; electrical work including secondary wiring and feeders from the primary switchgear, electrical panels in closets, lighting, fire alarm; plumbing and sprinkler system; IT data and telecommunication work; security measures; energy conservation measures; independent chiller and HVAC equipment with backup central HVAC with all associated ducts and controls and a new mechanical room area.
