MARYLAND SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND

Penza Bailey Architects completed an ADA assessment for the Maryland School for the Blind located in Baltimore, MD. The School consists of 23 buildings on a 90-acre K-12 campus. The buildings varied in age, size and use for administration, education and housing.

PBA issued a comprehensive report entitled ADA Campus Survey. The survey identified accessibility non compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Housing Act (FHA), the Maryland Accessibility Code. Existing conditions were documented, alternative design solutions illustrated, budgeted and prioritized as part of a critical needs analysis.
